Specific needs

We are presenting a group with which OMC Collareda has been working on a regular basis for many years. It is a company that is growing significantly and owns various paper mills in key countries of the EU. The company, always focused on the environment and hence accustomed to use recycled raw materials, decided to also focus on a “Premium” product that binds them to the use of cellulose virgin pulp.

 

We worked in full synergy with the Customer in order to recover the existing technology, if possible. Hence we started from an existing Pulper, where we provided a new high-efficiency aggregate (LCB26) and modified the tank’s geometry. We also changed the work philosophy of the pulper, turning it from batch function to non-stop operation. Then we installed a high-density cleaner HDCL4000 to remove course contaminants also present in a noble raw material like cellulose.

 

Using pumps and part of existing pipes, we installed two deflakers in parallel, DEF100, and then we worked on the key machine of the line, refiner RDD34”. Keep in mind that the cleaner, deflakers and refiner work as “single group”, hence without intermediate chests. This allowed the Customer to save in economic terms and in terms of space. OMC Collareda looked after the entire basic engineering aspects of the order, allowing the customer afterwards to develop detailed engineering aspects where required. The entire process and therefore automation were decided by OMC Collareda for the final satisfaction of the Customer.
