Specific needs

Indeed, a paper mill located in Zárate, Argentinian city in the province of Buenos Aires, requested OMC to manufacture a system to recover water coming from their existing lagoon biological system; currently the water is fully discharged in the river.

OMC designed and built a system with the aim to recover part of the treated water and make it suitable for industrial uses.

With the proposed system, OMC was able to recover 45% of the treated water; this is sent to a rotating filter with the aim to remove all coarse particles; then, after a suitable chemical treatment, it is transferred to a set of self-cleaning sand filters which have the task to remove the suspended solids contained in it. Before being conveyed to the paper mill, the filtered water goes through a UV-ray disinfection system, delivering 240 m3/h of industrialized water to the paper mill.
